The figure passed all standard product tests, as well as a specialized test specific to the new foam material used. The yellowing some figures have experienced didn’t appear until a number of months after the product's release. The yellowing is due to an unforeseen chemical reaction between the paint and material used in its construction. Because we stand 100% behind the products we sell, we’re offering full refunds to any customer who would like to return their defective figure. We’re sorry but we won’t be able to offer exchanges. It’s been a long time coming and DC Universe Club Infinite Earths is now on the horizon! Golden Age Flash will be the first figure released and we’ve just confirmed we’ll receive our shipment in mid-May. That means the club will launch in May instead of April. For subscribers, we’ll begin processing orders when the shipment is received (ETA is currently 5/12) and sending them out about 10 business days later. Although the club is starting in May rather than April, you’ll still get the nine figures you signed up for in 2012; we’ll just double up on figures for one month in the fall (you’ll have plenty of notice before it happens).
Okay, enough business -- on to the good stuff! At press time, here is the release schedule (as always, subject to change): May: Golden Age The Flash Even though he won’t arrive until May, our Golden Age The Flash figure will certainly be worth waiting for! Like all manufacturers, our production practices are proprietary but we can tell you that a number of critical topics were covered, including new ideas to improve production quality consistency, reviewing our materials development process, additional design review steps, more stringent testing, and supplementary technician training. Please know that we do listen to your comments and they are important to us. In fact, during the meeting we presented some of the comments from our Fan Forums so everyone could better understand the issues we’re seeing at the consumer end. We're working as hard as we can to improve processes, and because we consider this of critical importance, it’s at the top of our “to do” list.

The entire meeting was shot by BeyondTheMarquee.com and they’ll be posting a video soon. In it, you’ll see that Bob brought in three Hoverboards that were actually used in the films for us to review and measure. We discussed the origins of the board and reviewed prototype concept drawings that Bob brought with him. We also talked with Michael and MaryAnne about how they created the floating effects and practical effects on set. And finally, it turns out that Bob kept all the letters from kids in the ‘80s asking for Hoverboards and had those with him, too! Have a look at the pics I posted here and here. Starting with Diamond Dallas, the WWE® Legends figures sold throughout the rest of the year were chosen by you, the fans! –WWE® Guys MOTUC Schedule UpdateJanuary 11, 2012 I just heard from Toy Guru and he asked me to pass this schedule update on to you - Matty He-Fans and She-Ravers, First, Demo-Man™ has arrived in our warehouse and should start shipping out in the next few days. We will post a confirmation when he starts to ship. But just when we thought we made it through the Demo-Man delay with clear skies ahead, it looks like our carefully planned release schedule has hit some turbulence. When we lay out the line each year, we very consciously try to plan it so there are not too many items in one month to help spread out the purchase price over the year. When it comes to shipping items according to plan, MOTUC has had relatively clear skies for a few years. Unfortunately, logistical issues we could not avoid (yes, I know how you feel about that word!) have knocked our schedule around. We will still ship all of the figures we announced, they just may not be in the same month as originally intended. We've looked at the full year and it looks like we will be back on track with figures starting in July. But between now and then, here is the revised shipping schedule for MOTUC and the 30th Anniversary Series: January February March April May June July Why a complete revamp of the schedule? We didn't want to get into another situation like with Demo-Man™ and sell a figure before the full quotas arrived. While a few figures are shipping in different months then originally intended, this new release schedule should ensure there are fewer shipping delays like we had in December. Please keep in mind this new schedule is subject to change, just like the first one. MOTUC products are handmade and hand-painted overseas, so schedule changes are bound to happen. But don't worry, because at the end of the year, you’ll ideally have all the figures we promised for 2012. We do appreciate your patience and understanding. Our goal is to deliver the best figures and the best buying experience. Improvements will continue to be made and we will do our best to update everyone if any further changes are needed. There are a ton more surprises in store for the MOTU 30th Anniversary, with a reveal of two of the most fan-demanded figures ever at New York Toy Fair on February 12th! On February 12th, we rocked the collecting world with the news that Mattel is offering the first-ever hoverboard prop replica from the Back to the Future™ franchise right here on MattyCollector.com.
