Club Lion Force
Based on Voltron®, the fanboy-favorite 1980s series, Club Lion Force mega-thrusts into the Matty atmosphere for the first time ever! For 2012, the Mattel Voltron line includes five Lions (black, green, yellow, blue, red) that form Voltron plus five Pilots in 3 ¾" scale (Keith, Pidge, Hunk, Allura, Lance). Collect all five Lions and you'll have everything you need to build an enormous 23" tall Voltron figure. Collect all the Pilots and each one will come with a piece that creates a Voltron Collect and Connect® Ultra Blazing Sword!
In homage to the series and to make sure you get every figure needed to build the 23" Voltron and Ultra Blazing Sword, each pilot will come as a set with its corresponding lion, so Keith and the Black lion will come as a set, Hunk and the Yellow lion will come as a set, etc. Prices for the pilots and lions are $50-$65 per set, whether purchased through the subscription or when they are sold on MattyCollector.com during our monthly sales (they won't be sold separately). That means subscribers will receive paired Pilots and Lions at their doorstep, and if you choose to come to MattyCollector.com to purchase additional sets (or if you don't have a subscription), you won't have to go to two separate product pages and risk one or the other being sold out – a single click will be all it takes to put them both in your cart!
Club Lion Force Overview
- When you buy a membership to 2012 Club Lion Force, you’re guaranteed to get all the official club figures released during the year – a total of 5 pilot figures in 3 ¾" scale and 5 lion figures. That means you'll own all 5 lions needed to build the colossal 23" Voltron robot and all 5 pilots needed to complete the Voltron Collect and Connect® Ultra Blazing Sword.
- You’ll also receive the club-exclusive figure for 2012, Sven, the original pilot of the Blue Lion! Like the other Pilot figures, Sven will be in 3 ¾" scale.
- Approximately every 2-3 months in 2012 starting in February 2012, you’re automatically shipped a Lion figure and its corresponding Pilot Figure. The first set that will be released is the Red Lion and Lance Pilot figures. They will not be billed until they are shipped.
- Figures begin shipping approximately two (2) business days prior to the official on-sale date. Along with guaranteed figures and the club-exclusive, this is one of our members’ favorite benefits because they usually start getting their figures sooner than non-members!
- Exact figures are announced approximately one to two months before each on-sale date.
- The special club-exclusive figure will be shipped in the second half of 2012. The figure is included in the cost of the membership ($15), however applicable shipping and taxes/fees will be charged at the time of shipment.
- Please note that special convention items, reissues and other accessories are not included. Mattel reserves the right to offer those and any other Voltron® items. Subscriptions will not include any additional items beyond those listed here.
- All sets will also be available at MattyCollector.com around the 15th of the on-sale month without the membership. You will have the option to buy additional figures, but availability isn’t guaranteed and the purchase limit is ten (10) per person. The club-exclusive figure Sven figure will NOT be sold separately at MattyCollector.com and will only be available to subscribers.
- The only way to receive the club-exclusive figure through Mattel is to buy a membership to Club Lion Force! This item will not be sold separately on MattyCollector.com.
- For 2012, subscriptions are available for DC Universe, Masters of the Universe® Classics Club Eternia®, Masters of the Universe 30th Anniversary Series and Voltron® Club Lion Force. You may buy as many subscriptions of any kind and in any combination you like and they'll all ship together! (Limitations apply, so please read below for details.)
About Club Lion Force Memberships
Memberships are available for purchase from 9/16 at 9 a.m. PT through 10/3 at 11:59 p.m. PT here on MattyCollector.com.
Memberships are $15 each, plus the cost of the club figures, shipping, and applicable taxes/fees. The club-exclusive figure is included in this $15 membership fee, however shipping/taxes/fees are additional.
The total commitment for 2012 is $290, plus applicable fees/taxes and shipping (varies depending on your location and the shipping method you choose). You will be shipped 5 Lions (Red Lion and Green Lion @ $35 each = $70, Blue Lion and Yellow Lion @ $40 each = $80 and Black Lion = $50) plus 5 Pilots (5 @ $15 each = $75) and the Club-exclusive figure (included in sign-up fee = $15) for a total of $290 plus shipping/taxes/fees. Pilots and their corresponding Lions will be shipped in sets.

When you purchase a membership, your credit card will be pre-authorized for $65, which is the cost of the membership plus the first month’s set and the estimated shipping/taxes/fees ($15 membership, $35 Lion, $15 Pilot). The first set will be Red Lion and Lance Pilot Figure. Pre-authorization means that the money is reserved from your available credit card balance. This pre-authorization amount is only for credit card validation and should be released in a few days (length of time depends upon your bank). You will then be charged the $15 membership fee, but you will not be charged for the first figure until it ships in 2012. For more information about pre-authorizations, please visit the Shop FAQs.
Beginning with the first shipment, your credit card will then be automatically charged approximately five (5) calendar days prior to the official on-sale date of each figure. For more information about how subscriptions work, please visit our Fan Forums.

Shipping costs apply and will vary depending on the destination, weight of the package and the shipping method chosen. These costs are billed with products.
All subscriptions ordered by one person (same email address, credit card, address and shipping method) will ship together when purchased in the same transaction. Subscriptions not purchased together will still ship together, with one exception: The first month that any of your subscription orders ship, subscriptions not purchased together will not ship together (estimated January for Club Eternia® and MOTU 30th Anniversary Series, February for Club Lion Force and April for DC Universe Club Infinite Earths). The second time your subscription ships (essentially the monthly renewal), all of your subscriptions will ship together to the same address (estimated February for Club Eternia, March for MOTU 30th Anniversary Series, April for Club Lion Force and May for DC Universe Club Infinite Earths). Say, for example, you purchased two Club Lion Force subscriptions in one transaction during the July on-sale period and two subscriptions during the September on-sale period in another transaction. When the first club figures are released in February, the figures purchased in July will ship in one package and the figures purchased in September will ship in another package. Then in April, all the figures from all four subscriptions will ship together. This only applies to subscriptions that were not purchased in the same transaction. All subscriptions that are purchased in the same transaction will ship together the first month.
Should your card expire during the membership period, you’ll be able to update any credit card information. You can also change your billing and/or shipping address.
Other figures purchased outside the membership are charged and shipped separately.
You may purchase as many memberships as you want during the on-sale period. There are no limits. Mattel reserves the right to open subscriptions for sale or to cancel them at any time.
