Limited Edition MOTU Art Book at SDCCJuly 10, 2009 Hey MOTU Fans! Oh man, this is BIG… the design team at Mattel just announced the first book in their "Designed @ Mattel" series and it's a MOTU art book!  The book shows off the fantastic art of the MOTU brand from 1981 through current day. It's packed with never-before-seen Mattel concept art, behind-the-scenes notes, posters, oil paintings, and a whole lot more from across the brand. All that MOTU art from over the years is mighty sweet, but the book also premiers concept art from new projects, like a proposed live action film! It's a soft-cover edition, limited to only 1,000 numbered copies. Each one comes with a numbered cover ribbon and an embossed seal. The first place they'll be available is San Diego Comic-Con. Purchases will be limited to two per guest, per wait in line. And get this… you can even have your copy signed by the Mattel artists at the show! If any units remain after the show they may be sold on Mattycollector.com, but honestly, we expect to sell out at SDCC. Details on San Diego Comic-Con He-Ro VariantsJune 12, 2009 MOTU Fans! As most MOTU fans know, He-Ro is our special San Diego Comic-Con 2009 MOTU figure. You've waited patiently, and now I can finally share some of the details! This version of He-Ro will be available at SDCC, then at MattyCollector.com after the show. Both the SDCC version and the MattyCollector.com version will have three different Spell Stone variants, randomly packed. But like all spell stones, they're well hidden. The stones come packed in a closed Spell Staff so the only way to know which version you have is to open the package, then open the staff to see the color.  Spell of Protection......Green Spell Stone
There's one more thing... if you get He-Ro at the show, he'll also have a special SDCC variant with the SDCC logo on his chest under the armor (you'll need to take him out of the package and remove the armor to see the logo)! The logo version will be sold only at SDCC. If you can't get to the SDCC, don't worry, because we've got you covered. You can still get He-Ro without the SDCC logo here on MattyCollector.com after the show on Monday, August 3rd at 12:00 NOON ET, so be sure to mark your calendar!

 Nothing bums me out more than fans not getting the figures they want. So, to make sure you get all your fave MOTU figures, I'm starting a subscription service! Complete details will be on the product purchase page when it goes on sale, but here's how it's gonna work:
It doesn't get a whole lot easier. Purchase the subscription one time and you're done… MOTU figures just show up at your door! No worrying about being logged in when a sale starts, or a figure selling out before you get one. And remember, you can get as many as you want but subscriptions will only be available for purchase for five days, so mark your calendars for Monday, May 18th! —Matty Adam Strange Available Again, DCU Updates and More!May 1, 2009 You asked and we’re delivering… Thanks to fan demand, we’ve got a whole new shipment of Adam Strange and Starfire two-packs available! We have a second shipment heading our way which will go on sale at 12:00 Eastern on April 29th. This is not a second run, but rather the second half of the first shipment which had to be shipped separately. There should be no problems with ordering both in the US and internationally and we have diligently worked through all of the loop computer bugs and increased bandwidth. With a little luck all should be smooth sailing (or is that swimming in this case?) If this second shipment also sells out fast, we will look at increasing orders again until we can get the numbers just right for MOTU figures. It is a learning process, and we appreciate fan's understanding as we move forward with each sale getting closer to perfection. And don't forget the JLU Legion of Super Heroes Pack and MOTUC Zodac® will go on sale May 15th at 12:00 Eastern as well. Get them while they last!  And what about Zodac® and Hordak™? We should be able to get our full increased allotment of Zodac® and Hordak™ on their first on-sale dates going forward, and if they still sell out in less than a week, we're gonna increase production further. Our goal is for these figures to remain on sale for at least one to two weeks.
